Origin is a tasting-menu restaurant in the historic Smaltovňa building in Lučenec. From Wednesday to Saturday, chef Lukáš Heuser — one of the standout talents of Slovak gastronomy — prepares a 4- or 7-course tasting menu built on local ingredients and modern techniques.
The restaurant’s philosophy rests on simplicity, freshness and quality — including a zero-waste approach to cooking. After years in Switzerland, owners Lukáš and Dominika Heuser returned home to Lučenec to build a restaurant that ranks among the best in the Banská Bystrica region.
The space combines the industrial history of the 1895 Rakottyay building with premium gastronomy — an ideal setting for a special dinner, a celebration or a business meeting.
